Three Simple Ingredients
Made with organic cocoa butter, organic beeswax and pure sweet almond oil. The formula contains no petroleum-based ingredients.
The balm conditions leather, while beeswax helps provide surface protection and water resistance. It does not make leather completely waterproof.
How to Apply Smith’s Leather Balm
Start with clean, dry leather.
Test a small amount on a hidden area to check the effect on colour and finish.
Apply a very small amount with your fingers or a clean, soft cloth, working it evenly over the surface.
Allow the leather to absorb the balm and dry.
Buff with a soft cloth or horsehair brush to remove any surface wax residue.
A little goes a long way. Reapply as needed rather than applying a heavy coat.
Will It Darken Leather?
Leather may darken after conditioning, particularly lighter shades. The effect varies with the leather and its finish, so always test first. Do not assume every item will return to its original colour within a fixed time.
If the surface feels sticky after application, you may have used too much. Buff away excess residue with a clean cloth or horsehair brush.
